The effect of force on the rotation is described in the physical quantity known as the “torque”. Similar to how a force contributes to linear acceleration that an object experiences, the torque contributes to an angular acceleration of an object. The force that exerts torque force is described as the sum of the distance from the area of application away from its axis rotation and the part of the force perpendicular the line connecting to the place of application and the axis of the rotation.
