Could you share some tips about bash sleep milliseconds. Someone suggested some samples but it does not work for me.

Ideas for bash sleep milliseconds: Sleep is a command-line utility which allows you to stop the call process for a specific period of duration. This means that the sleep command stops each command’s execution time for certain duration of time.

The sleep command syntax: sleep NUMBER[SUFFIX]…

  • s – seconds (default – When no suffix is specified)
  • m – minutes
  • h – hours
  • d – days

Sample: 

sleep 3m 35s #Sleep for 3 minute and 35 seconds

    sleep NUMBER[SUFFIX]    #Just use this command structure to wait/sleep
#Example:
sleep 5m    #sleeps 5 minutes
sleep 0.1       #sleeps 0.1 seconds or 100 miliseconds
#Suffixes
s - seconds (default)
m - minutes
h - hours
d - days
When no suffix is specified, it defaults to seconds.
