Please give me the best solution for the git reset initial commit because I tried the suggested code in another forum but I received an error.

Ideas for git reset initial commit: The git reset command is used when you want to undo your last commit and start with a new one. It’s useful for fixing mistakes or when you need to redo the last few commits of your project from the beginning.

It should work if you do this way

    # rollback to commit state
    git revert --no-commit 0766c053..HEAD
    git commit

    # This will detach your HEAD, that is, leave you with no branch checked out:

Do you think this might be a solution?

It seems this solution works, you may try it

    # reset to specefic commit
    git reset --hard <commit id>

    # to go back one step
    git reset --hard HEAD~1

    # note: use --soft to keep file changes
