One way is to plug this in a calculator and convert it into a fraction. This only works if your calculator has a button to do that.

Another way is to try dividing by powers of ten. Since you have three whole numbers and one decimal behind, the nearest denominator would be 1000. So, the fraction is 123⁄1000.

    123/1000

    Explanation:

You can plug it in a calculator to convert it into fractions. If your calculator has a button that allows you to convert this number into fractions, it will work.

You can also divide by powers of ten. You have three whole numbers, and one decimal left. The nearest denominator is therefore

    1000

    . The fraction is therefore

    123/1000
