  • C has the ability to interact with each other to form stable covalent bonds – C – C- . Since C can gain or give away 4 electrons to fill the outermost layer of electrons with enough 8 stable electrons, each C atom can form covalently with 4 other C atoms. This makes it possible to form a framework for a multitude of different organic substances

    Chirality is a possibility
