The average amount of electricity that is consumed by the resistor in an AC series circuit defined as the rate at which the circuit is the power consumption from the resistor. In the event that the voltage source is a voltage with an amplitude V and that the resistance of the circuit has a value Z then the power used by the AC circuit could be mathematically expressed like this:

    A) Here the voltage oscillates between Vmax and -Vmax

    So Vmax = 4V

    B) Vavg = (4-4)/2 = 0/2 = 0 V


    C) Vrms =Vmax/sqrt(2) = 3/1.414 = 2.83


    D) Period T = 7.6-2 = 5.8 sec

    E) frequency = 1/T = 0.56 = 0.178 H
